fairy tales

This was part of my reply to a friend who was feeling low about a relationship she is in... She mentioned how people in general want to have the flicker of hope and that we're always wishing for a fairy tale.....

"With every fairy tale... there is that tumultuous journey before reaching the happy ending. Maybe we're always just waiting for that happy ending... but all we get is a punchline."

This might sound rather hope-less but as I was writing it, I was on the contrary feeling hopeful. I have the hope. Now someone just have to make it "ful".
